Tips for Parents
1. HAVE FUN!! Don't stress it! Your photos turn out better when you laugh, play, hug, snuggle, tickle, and sing!!
2. Dress similarly but not identically. Choose a color scheme vs identical clothing. Pinterest has some wonderful ideas!
3. Remember, it’s going better than you think it is in the moment.
4. We all like to accommodate naps and bedtimes, but the best light is really early or late.
5. Bring a plain, dark blanket with no tags or patterns.
6. Bring wipes, even for kids who are out of diapers. This helps clean those dirty faces! Please clean
7. Parents, stay calm and let your kids be kids. Your photos turn out better when you play and have fun!
8. Make sure everyone is happily fed and well rested.
9. BRIBERY is definitely ok. I typically carry either CANDY or FRUIT SNACKS with me. Please let me know if your child/ren have any allergies I need to now about.
10. Let the kids know about the shoot well in advance. Start talking to your kids about the shoot a week in advance to get them comfortable with the idea. Let them know your expectations of their behavior, but more importantly talk it up to make it sound like a fun and special occasion for the family - because it is! It's all about having fun!!
11. Avoid orange or red drinks the day before and day of the photo shoot. These color can often stain the lips/mouth.
12. Please avoid temporary tattoos.
